Merediths Restaurant, Dominion Road, Balmoral, Auckland
The food speaks for itself. With a five course set menu, Michael bought an eclectic mix of flavours together which just melted in the mouth. We began with an Asian style dish of seared tuna with wasabi mayo and tempura mussel. This was followed by dishes of quail, snapper, black pudding and finished off with an array of fresh fruits, licorice and sorbets. An absolute delight. We don't just recommend it - we love it!

How wine has a voice
The greatest delight in drinking wine is about finding its voice and how it talks to you. As Louis Pasteur says " A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world." The sensory, mental and emotional associations wine evokes should be encouraged and explored. That is why we love wine!

Marlborough, New Zealand
The birthplace of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, there is no doubt that once you have tried it, a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is addictive. It may be the juicy fruit flavours or the prominent herbal overtones of the fact that it provokes memories of freshly cut grass and running through sprinklers in the summertime or it could be the vibrant tartness, but whatever the reason, once you start sipping, it's hard to stop.
Archangel Pinot Noir 2008
The story and label made us fall in love and then we tasted this Pinot Noir from Archangel, Central Oago and fell in love all over again. This wine is elegant, fragrant, ruby-hued, with flavours of red and black cherry, herb and spice. and has a deliciously warm texture.

Decadent Delights
There is nothing more decadent than a double delight and the Mainland Special Reserve Double Cream Brie is just that. It is rich and creamy and has hints of caramel and butter which will be beautifully enhanced by matching it with a
Spy Valley Gewürztraminer. Gewürztraminer is a vibrant wine with mouth-watering acidity as well as aromas of flowers (especially roses), nutmeg, cloves and lychee nuts and pairs well with many foods depending on the degree of sweetness. This is one sumptuous decadence that you can indulge in and still keep your halo intact!
Sex & the City 2
We're excited to see Sex and the City 2 which follows the latest exploits of the famous Manhattan foursome: Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. Carrie and Big have now been married for two years. Life is good for the girls, but the traditional roles of marriage and motherhood lack a certain "sparkle". So, it is decided, the remedy lies in a glamorous, sun-drenched adventure to Abu Dhabi. Guest stars Liza Minnelli, Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus. Sarah Jessica Parker has described the film as "a light-hearted caper, like a souffle".Check out the Stuff.co.nz
review. The film opens in New Zealand 02nd June in cinemas nationwide.
